Sharing the Well: A Resource Guide for Jewish Muslim Engagement聽is designed to assist and enhance Jewish-Muslim interactions at the community level. It includes a guide to dialogue; 18 articles by Jewish and Muslim leaders on topics such as caring for others, family and heritage, and religious life; questions for discussion; a sampling of 24 successful Jewish-Muslim engagement programs from across America; and a glossary of Jewish and Muslim terms. The book is available聽as a聽free PDF. It is also available on the Islamic Society of North America and Hartford Seminary websites.

At the conclusion of the joint project, JTS, Hartford Seminary, and the Islamic Society of North America celebrate a total of three academic workshops (2010, 2011, 2012); four community-based pilot projects in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia areas (which took place in 2013鈥2014); the publication of a special issue of the academic journal聽The Muslim World聽(vol. 104, no. 4, October 2014) on 鈥淛udaism and Islam in America鈥; and the publication of this special volume,聽Sharing the Well, which is a direct outgrowth of the interreligious partnerships that we鈥檝e forged. JTS and the cosponsors of this project are grateful for the leading support of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, which made the workshops, pilot projects, and this book (and its free distribution as a PDF) possible.
